Where are you located?
Jonathan Dickinson State Park

How do I get to the Pine Grove Campground?
After entering the park and checking in at the ranger station, continue straight for about 500 feet, then make a left turn to enter the Pine Grove Campground. We are situated in the last loop of the campground. Turn left just before the playground/pavilion and proceed to your site number (labeled on the pavement). Please remember, that the campground loops are designated for one-way traffic only to ensure the safety and convenience of all our guests.

Timberline guests must follow all Florida State Park rules regarding pets.
Key rules include:
Are there bathrooms?
The path to access the restrooms and showers is found between sites #9 and #12. There are no bathrooms inside of the tents.
Does the tent have A/C and heat?
Our tents have a mini-split A/C and heating system to enhance your comfort. But remember, they're canvas-walled tents. On average, you can expect that the unit will offer a 5-15 degree difference from the exterior temperature. During the heat of the afternoons, the A/C has much less impact on the interior temperature. The cooling ability can be as much as 20 degrees cooler in the evenings. This difference is significant, but the system is not equivalent to central A/C. We recommend that you keep tents closed during the heat of mid-day to trap in the cooler conditioned air, open at night for a breeze, and layer up in cold months. Enjoy nature with a touch of comfort!
How many people are allowed at each glampsite?
Our sites comfortably sleep 4-6 guests, however, up to 8 guests are allowed per glampsite. You may bring a pack-n-play and/or air mattress to accommodate up to 8 guests per site.
Can additional tents be pitched on the site?
Yes, with prior approval. In most cases a small tent for kids to have the “full” camping experience is permitted on the gravel area adjacent to the tent. However, large multi-room tents will most likely not be allowed.
Is glamping still camping?
Yes, glamping is camping redefined with added comforts and luxuries. While you enjoy the great outdoors and activities typical of traditional camping, our tents offer enhancements like comfortable bedding and climate control to moderate temperatures, blending the natural charm of camping with modern conveniences. However, remember our accommodations have canvas exteriors; the climate control—A/C in summer and heating in winter—is designed to make your stay more comfortable but won’t replicate the indoor environment of a home. We suggest keeping tents closed during hot days and open at night to embrace the breeze, and wearing warm clothing in cooler seasons. This way, you experience the authenticity of camping with the added benefits of luxury, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable outdoor adventure.
What park rules should I be aware of?
Timberline guests must follow all Florida State Park rules. Key rules include gate closing at sunset, quiet time from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., leashing and controlling pets, and zero allowance for collecting firewood.
What should I know about wildlife in the park?
Regarding wildlife in the park, please refrain from feeding or approaching animals. Ensure your food and trash are securely stored to prevent attracting wildlife. Stick to marked trails and avoid venturing into bushes or sea grape areas. While fire ants pose a common risk, snakes may also inhabit these spaces. Stay safe by observing these guidelines.
While the park's official quiet hours begin at 11 p.m., we kindly ask that our guests lower their voices and noise as the sun sets out of respect for those seeking a peaceful evening. Please remember that tents do not block much sound, so we encourage guests to keep noise levels down after dark.
Are smoking and open flames permitted?
Smoking is not permitted in or around the glampsites. Open flames, including candles, are prohibited inside tents due to fire risks. Fines apply for violations.
All fires must be contained to designated fire rings and charcoal grills only.
Our tents are equipped to handle stormy weather conditions. Please note that we do not cancel reservations due to rain, wind, or thunderstorms. For unexpected weather-related changes to your plans, we recommend purchasing travel protection.
Our elevated location often experiences wind gusts exceeding 30 mph. Although our tents can withstand winds up to 60 mph, these gusts can produce noticeable noise. We recommend earplugs for light sleepers.
In severe weather, the safest place to take shelter is the park’s bathrooms; we encourage all guests to familiarize themselves with their location. During high winds and heavy rain, guests are responsible for fully zipping all windows and doors to prevent water entry and to help secure the tent against wind forces that can lift the structure.
Can I view a tent before booking?
For privacy and security, direct viewing of tents is not allowed. Call us at 561-203-3330 to schedule a tent tour between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Can I purchase items from the tent?
Yes, items available for purchase include logo mugs, scented oils, and books, as listed in our online store. Guests may take these items directly from their tent, incurring charges on the card on file, or request new, unopened items during their stay for a fresh replacement from our stock.
What if I leave something behind?
Any item we find to have been left behind will be placed in Lost & Found and remain there for 14 days. On the 15th day, items are taken to our local donation center. If you left something behind, we are happy to mail the item back to you and charge the card on file for shipping and packaging (if needed).
Are your glamping sites accessible?
Accessibility ramps are available upon request for all sites. Specific sites (#9) offer greater accessibility features—accessible picnic table, paved driveway, and paved pathway to the bathhouse.
Is WIFI available?
WIFI is not available in our tents. However, there is free WIFI service provided at the Kimbell Education Center. There is a sign on the door with the login details for after-hours use.
